WATCH: Harry Lennix Confirms His Martian Manhunter Role in the ‘Justice League’ Snyder Cut

Harry Lennix, who appeared as General Swanwick in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, has confirmed he is playing Martian Manhunter in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, aka The Snyder Cut.

In a video interview with Collider (included below), Lennix confirmed that his character of Swanwick will be revealed to have actually been J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, in disguise.

Lennix revealed in the interview that he has finished filming his scenes for the film, which will be presented as a four-part miniseries on HBO Max in March.

After the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement led to Warner Bros. bringing back Zack Snyder to restore his original vision for the film, the director has dropped hints about what he had planned. That included revealing storyboards that showed Martian Manhunter was always supposed to appear in Justice League. Now, we’ll get to see him in the flesh.

Lennix explained that he never saw the original full Justice League script, and after Snyder had to leave the film for personal reasons, the script changed significantly under Joss Whedon. The Martian Manhunter was dropped from the film, and he had no idea about his role until Snyder came calling.

“It’s going to be great to be up there with Batman and Superman and my pals,” he told Collider. “Yeah, I’m once again like a kid at a candy store.”

Here’s the interview.
