Gina Carano Hits #1 on IMDB StarMeter After Being Fired by Lucasfilm

It seems Gina Carano is seeing her career surge after being fired by Lucasfilm for speaking her mind.

Carano was fired after she posted a meme critical of the hate surrounding cancel culture, likening it to the hate that spread in Germany with the rise of Nazism and the Holocaust.

“The Mandalorian” actress has been the focus of a concerted online troll campaign to get her fired for over a year, and they used the meme to push Lucasfilm to cut ties, which they did.

As we reported, many fans are asking why Lucasfilm didn’t fire Pedro Pascal for also invoking Nazism in political memes in the last year. The only difference is Pascal was criticizing President Trump in his tweets, while Carano was espousing conservative and libertarian values.

Carano was unapologetic, and the hashtags #WeLoveGinaCarano, #WeStandWithGinaCarano, and #CancelDisneyPlus trended on social media after she was fired.

After the firing, she immediately signed a deal to produce and star in a film with Ben Shapiro.

In recent days, fans rallying around Carano catapulted her to the top of IMDB’s StarMeter ranking. In comparison, fellow “Mandalorian” actor Pedro Pascal is ranked at #16.

Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm have commented further on Carano.
