Will Rocky Be In ‘Creed III’? Sylvester Stallone Has The Answer
Actor Sylvester Stallone has confirmed whether or not he will reprise his role as Rocky Balboa in Creed III, scheduled for release in 2022.
Unfortunately for Rocky fans, it’s not good news.
Stallone has confirmed that he will not appear in the upcoming film. The actor had stated before that he likely would not be in the next Creed film. Earlier today, after posting a picture of some Rocky boxing gloves on Instagram, Stallone responded to a commenter about Creed III, effectively ending any speculation that he might return.
Although the response seemed hastily written, and included some errors, it’s clear what he was trying to convey. “I will…not be (in) Creed 3 that’s for certain,” he said.
It’s not clear why Stallone isn’t returning, and his response, interestingly, came just after the announcement that star Michael B. Jordan will be directing the new film.
Neither Jordan nor the producers of Creed III have commented on Stallone’s post or his status in the new film.
