Here’s Your First Look at Darth Vader in ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’

A day after Lucasfilm dropped the first trailer for the upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” we have the one thing the trailer didn’t have: a look at Darth Vader in the series.

In an exclusive story from Entertainment Weekly, Hayden Christensen is interviewed about his return as the Dark Lord of the Sith, and an image of Vader emerging from his meditation chamber is featured.

“We’re going to see a very powerful Vader,” Christensen says, who talks in general terms about his role, but doesn’t discuss specifics. When asked if he takes off his helmet while in his meditation chamber, he dodges a direct answer. “I wish I could tell you. I’m sworn to secrecy,” he joked.

Writer Joby Harold also avoids specifics as well, but promises “His shadow is cast across so much of what we do, and the degree of his proximity to that shadow is something that we’ll discover. But he is very much a part of the show emotionally for Obi-Wan, and possibly beyond that as well.”
