Watch: Go Behind-The-Scenes of ‘Creed III’
MGM has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Creed III, as star (and now director and producer) Michael B. Jordan discusses the evolution of his character, Adonis Creed. You can watch the featurette below.
In this third chapter of the Rocky-spinoff, Adonis has to face a ghost from his past: Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors). Damian is a childhood friend who went to prison covering for Adonis. Newly released from imprisonment, Damian is now a boxer looking for a shot. He is not the person he once was, however, and Adonis finds himself on a collision course with him – in the ring.
The film also stars Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Phylicia Rashad, and Mila Davis-Kent.
Creed III will also be the first film in the series without the character of Rocky appearing. Actor Sylvester Stallone said the parting was mutual and wished everyone well, but had also said the film series was headed in a direction different from what he would have taken. Stallone had also had a high-profile falling out with producer Irwin Winkler, who owns the Rocky film rights.
