‘The Batman’ DC Fandome Trailer Delivers the Goods (VIDEO)
Matt Reeves’ The Batman released a new trailer at Saturday’s DC Fandome, silencing many who worried that actor Robert Pattinson couldn’t handle donning the cowl of the Caped Crusader.
With a gritty, grounded feel and a Bruce Wayne reminiscent of the “Year One” storyline, The Batman appears to be a unique take on the DC Comics icon that is much darker than previous incarnations. And love him or hate him, Pattinson seems like the right fit for the role.
In addition to Pattinson, the film stars Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin (evoking a Robert DeNiro vibe), Andy Serkis as Alfred, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon.

The Batman opens only in theaters on March 4, 2022.
