Alterna Comics’ Cyko KO Action Figure Crowdfunding Campaign Hits Indiegogo

The Alterna Comics character Cyko KO is now an action figure – or at least will be – once an Indiegogo campaign to make it is funded.

Rob Feldman, the creator, writer, and artist of the “Cyko KO” comic book from Alterna, launched the campaign this month, with hopes of raising $6500 to produce 500 figures. The campaign can be seen by clicking right here.

Described as an “infectiously fun character that is great for kids and adults,” Cyko KO is a throwback hero reminiscent of the Hanna Barbera and Filmation Saturday morning cartoons of the 1970s and 1980s.

The “Cyko KO” comic, published by Alterna Comics on old-school newsprint paper, was nominated for a Ringo Award in 2018. Feldman describes him as a “fourth-wall breakin’, pinball-addicted, motorcycle-ridin’ hero,” and the comic is among Alterna’s most popular titles.

To satisfy fans of the comic, Feldman is looking to turn Cyko into a 6-inch vinyl action figure, complete with 7 points of articulation. The figure will come carded in retro-style packaging.

The Indiegogo campaign has various levels to pledge at, but if you want just the figure, you can nab one for a very reasonable $18. There are levels for dealers who want to buy multiple figures, and there are even pledge tiers that include comics and other goodies with your figure, like having your name printed on the packaging. For $195, you can even get three figures and a walk-on role in a future “Cyko KO” comic.

Here is a video posted by Rob Feldman describing the Indiegogo campaign.

The campaign is only open for a limited time, and you can click right here to back it yourself.
