Mark Hamill Mocks Ivanka Trump and Her Kid for Being ‘Star Wars’ Fans

Actor Mark Hamill, best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films, has become a bit of a political activist on Twitter. On a nearly daily basis, Hamill criticizes President Donald Trump, tweeting jokes and taking personal shots at the Commander-in-Chief.

Now, Hamill is aiming his vitriol at the President’s daughter Ivanka – and her three-year-old son.

This past weekend, Ivanka tweeted out a picture of her family, including her three-year-old son wearing a Stormtrooper costume. “The Force is strong in my family,” the tweet said.

That seemed to trigger Hamill, who sneered back at Ivanka “You misspelled “Fraud.” He also included the hashtag #GoForceYourself, a cheeky saying among Star Wars fans who don’t want to drop an F-bomb.

That started a cascade of responses, both supporting Hamill’s slam and criticizing him for taking a shot at a three-year-old’s love of Star Wars.

Twitter user Fandom Menace Girl used one of Hamill’s favorite sayings to criticize him. Hamill often says “Star Wars is for everyone,” in reference to the film’s wide appeal across ages, sexes, and races. She turned the phrase right back at him.

Hamill never apologized for the tweet, but did seem to walk his comment back a bit later, attempting to say he was not targeting the child.

Just after tweeting that, however, Hamill was back tweeting criticisms of President Trump once again only this time, without including his grandchildren.
