‘The Orville: New Horizons’ Trailer Released

Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville is finally returning, and the trailer for the third season promises adventure on an epic scale.

The show is moving from Fox to Hulu for a third season, and is even adding a subtitle of New Horizons. The original cast is returning for the third season, which will premiere more than three years after the last episode aired. Seth MacFarlane (Capt. Ed Mercer), Adrianne Palicki (Cmdr. Kelly Grayson), Penny Johnson Jerald (Dr. Claire Finn), Scott Grimes (Lt. Gordon Molloy), Peter Macon (Lt. Cmdr. Bortus), Jessica Szohr (Lt. Talia Keyali), J Lee (Lt. Cmdr. John LaMarr), Mark Jackson (Isaac), Anne Winters (Ensign Charly Burke), and Chad L. Coleman (Klyden) all star in the third season, which will premiere its first episode on June 2 on Hulu.

Set 400 years in the future, The Orville: New Horizons follows the Orville crew as they explore the galaxy and encounter new alien species. Initially dismissed as a Star Trek spoof by MacFarlane, viewers soon realized that The Orville was a faithful homage to Roddenberry’s landmark series. Many found it truer to the original Star Trek than the new films and TV shows produced by Paramount. Hard-core Star Trek fans have embraced The Orville, and welcomed its return via Hulu.

Here’s the trailer.
